Dear My New Stalker,

Please stop leaving messages on my answering machine. I can't understand what you are saying when you pant like that and I don't speak Spanish. Hopefully you can find something better to do with your time in the near future. I'm a painfully uninteresting person. I find my own life tedious to live - surely that is magnified by experiencing it vicariously.

Abstractions

I feel the need to further explain my new abstract photo paintings. I'm using my intimate knowledge of how a machine works and aesthetics to push my vision to new places. The results live somewhere between preconseption and luck. I'm going to work on finding a medium for these later this week.

Marfa

I spent the weekend with friends in Marfa. Things in Marfa have changed since I was last in town. The art wasn't as good this year and the free booze weren't flowing with the frequency they once did. The upside is my photos from the last few days are exciting. I'm moving in a few different directions with my eye. I'm experementing with abastract photos. Something I've never done before. The resulting photos make me happy. I need to figure out the best way to go from digital to print.

The other thing I worked on was making low light portraits. I'm getting better at keeping my hand still and deciding how to set the camera.

This is a portrait of a friend who fell asleep eating cracker jacks. Stranger things have happened. :)
