Wild Idea

The last two weeks have been spent working on the upcoming art show "Open House". I'm happy with most of the selections, but I'm worried the color on some of the works before the monitor may have poor color correction.

All the making of work for myself has inspired me. I want to work on more of my own photos. I've said that so many times, but now is the perfect time for it. Wedding season is over so I have money in my pocket and time on my hands.

One crazy idea I have is to pick two friends and photograph them crashing weddings. In each photo I'd have the couple doing something silly. The objective would be for none of the brides to know what is going on. Unfortantley, the potential for ruining my wedding business is to high for me to actually do it... but it would be fun. Maybe when I decide to stop photographing weddings I'll give it a try. :)

Old Photos

I'm going through all of my arcives to put together my upcoming photo show. I found this gem and it made me smile and cry. This was the day I put my cat felix to sleep. It was a very ad thing to have to do.

I can't win.

RRRRRGGGGGG. I made two shocking discoveries today. The first was that my computer monitor has been HORRIBLY mis calibrated for the last few weeks. I just got back lots of proofs and everything is ORANGE. This could be a big problem with the show I'm hanging in December. I've already ordered some of the large prints and I have no idea how the color is going to look. This whole thing is a bit heart breaking.

In other bad news I discovered a cash of my mail. For the last three weeks my brother has been hiding all of my important mail in a bag on the dining room table. All of my bills and paychecks and solicitations. I can't express how frustrated I was to discover all of the people who have been telling me "the check is in the mail" were telling me the truth and I look like an idiot for getting things.

I do have a speck of good news. My pal Ben helped me install my new fancy computer monitor. I love it. How I ever survived with out 24" of wide screen goodness is a mystery to me.

Strange Night

I had such a strange night. Scott and I went to some socailite party for the arts. First I was accused of being a snobby bitch by some gay guys (for the record I am snobby, but it's genetic). After that I ran into a girl from highschool who said I was her hero and inspiration and that she has a huge amount of respect for me and she always looked up to me (she's three years younger). Does she have any idea how much of a loser I was in high school? The wierdo kid is only popular in movies. I had a boyfriend, Chase, who loved me, but beyond that I only had three other friends. :) What a night.

Please please come to my art show if you are reading this. It is going to be a great show. :)
